he has been awaiting news on whether he can have a retrial but according to latest news reports his sentence has been reduced from 15 to 10 years and the fine increased?
what the hell is that all about?
IF they still think he is guilty why decrease the sentence, oh i see the money has gone up, thats what this is really about.
backward society?

Absolutely disguisting outcome. So is that it then? No chance of an appeal?

it looks as though they (bulgarian courts) have looked at evidence for a retrial and decided its not necessary, also it has been reduced because of age, no previous record, etc.
I dont think this will go away at all to be honest. I hope it doesnt, I dont beleive unless a full and fair trial occurs, with all witnesses accounts heard, as well as the person who claimed the crime then there is always an arguement for injustice.
I wonder if they think that because of a possible *********** up in first trial if the order a retrial it will be impossible to find anyone guilty as there seems to be a lack of dna conflicting witness statement, questionable id process, so they are hoping by reducing sentence and allowing to serve sentence in this country that no more questions will be asked?
