The Research Competition
The good folks at the Barfly describe this act as two girls, one boy, and a decrepit Casio keyboard. They have quite a cult following and there is a big buzz amongst the music journos at the moment.
They’re a make-shift type of band, scraped together on pennies that they saved to put together a few musical instruments! The songs are very poppy with innocent, nostalgic lyrics and that aim for integrity and a youthful abandonment that draws comparisons with The Magic Numbers. Although I’d say they were a more punky than that bashful four piece.
They’re playing the Liverpool Barfly on the fourth of June and we have two tickets to give away! So If you’d like to check out these pretty, perky darlings then send us an email telling us why you deserve cheering up!
